What is Ignite?
Ignite is an exciting new group in Jones County, Iowa that hopes to fundamentally change the status quo in Jones County. Ignite’s purpose is to be the spark in Jones County that sets the community on fire to accomplish great things for ourselves, our schools, our businesses and our community. Ignite attempts to do this by CONNECTING, LEARNING, and LIVING.

Relationships are essential in life. Ignite recognizes this and desires to bring young professionals together throughout Jones County to connect and build relationships. These relationships can be both social and professional. These relationships will in turn lead to a better, stronger Jones County. Some of the results of creating these relationship could include business partnerships, increased social life, expansion of a clientele, personal or professional referrals, expansion of resources, or an enhanced family life.

As much as we want to be, we are not perfect. All of us can improve and should strive to improve in everything we do; enhancing our skills and abilities benefit ourselves and those around us. Ignite believes that professional development is crucial in today’s world and therefore Ignite wants to provide a number of opportunities to assist in reaching our full potential. Professional development opportunities within Ignite could include things such as improving communication, networking, entrepreneurial, financing, leadership, or improved organization.

All of us are interested in Ignite because we either live here or work here. It would only make sense that we want our surroundings to be the best they can be. Ignite desires to bring together the young people of Jones County to make a difference in the community. The living component emphasizes the civic responsibility to improve your neighborhood, schools, businesses, and community. This may include things such as fundraisers for organizations, working together to bring something new to the community, cleaning up parks, or working with a local charity or church.
